My experience with Ziggy was great! It was definitely a useful tool in preparing me for the debate year. Not only do you get extra practice debating, you also get an idea of what cases teams will be running through out the year.

Two years ago my youngest two daughters partnered together: the older had two years debate experience and the younger was a newbie. Ziggy debate was an excellent training tool for them. It was instrumental in bringing my youngest daughter to a level where she was comfortable in the debate round. They finished 5th in the region that year which qualified them for nationals . . . I attribute most of their success to the preseason debate experience they received through Ziggy debate!

As a parent judge, I liked the Ziggy system. I could schedule myself to judge when it was convenient to me and so I did not consider it a burden. I found judging teams from all over the country quite interesting and helpful to my coaching in our club.

Ziggy is definitely one of the most beneficial debate tools I've ever encountered. Participating in Ziggy last year forced me to invest in debate right at the beginning of the debate season. It kept my chops up between tournaments. It accentuated my weaknesses, so that I was able to identify and address them. The only real issues I encountered were periodic correspondence difficulties (with opponents and prospective judges), but that aside, I can't recommend it enough!

Ziggy is a fantastic tool to sharpen your skill, find the holes in your own cases, and to keep up with the meta-game. You will also find case ideas that you might not have run into in your area. Finding a judge can sometimes be a struggle, but if you get your requests out early enough and follow up then you shouldn't have to much trouble. I would encourage any debater to use Ziggy. You will be stretched, and will have a head up those who haven't been as plugged in to the progress of the year's arguments. Ziggy prepares you to be able to walk into your next round with confidence.

Ziggy is a great debate prep tool to help students to both explore possible case ideas as well as fine cases their are considering for Spring. Participating in Ziggy allows debaters, whether novice or advanced, a practical opportunity to run a case they are considering as they warm up for the season.

I participated in Ziggy's Team Policy debate track, and I felt SO prepared for the upcoming season because I'd already debated ten other teams. Ziggy was always so quick in setting up the teams, and the list of judges was always easy to consult.
