My experience with Online Makeup Academy was great. I had no prior formal makeup training, so I had a lot to learn throughout the course. I did the Elite Path online, and the tutorials were good quality, very detailed, and easy to follow along. My mentor provided feedback for each homework assignment I submitted, and this was particularly helpful, as I began to understand that each artist has their own style, techniques, and tricks to share. I work full time, as well as participate in many (perhaps too many) other activities, so being able to do the course in my own timing was very helpful. Yes, there were times where I stayed up all night working on the course, but that was only because of my very full schedule, and I'm grateful that I had the opportunity to have been able to work the course into my schedule. During the course, I decided to specialize in a specific type of makeup application, and enrolled into several other courses outside of Online Makeup Academy, that focused only on that kind of makeup application and techniques. These courses were no where near the level of detail and personalization as the courses provided at Online Makeup Academy, and I found myself thinking that I would likely have been struggling in those courses had I not enrolled into Online Makeup Academy and built a foundation to grow from. Overall, I think Online Makeup Academy is a great course for anyone that wants to learn and develop strong makeup application techniques.

I have a great experience with online makeup academy. I took two courses from this school and I am now a professional makeup artist and hairstylist. Their online platform is very convenient and easy to access. I love that they provided you with a starting kit and it makes it easy for you to prepare and demonstrate your assignment. You can finish the course at your own pace. They gave you honest feedback on your assigment and everybody that you work with are very professional and they have a lot of years of experience from beauty industry. Not only they teach you how to be an artist but to also how to start your business.

I took the Elite Path with the Online Makeup Academy and recently completed my midterm test. The creators of this course are highly professional and excel at explaining techniques. The videos clearly demonstrate each step of the process, and they use models with a wide range of complexions, which I find extremely helpful. Being able to rewatch the classes whenever I need is invaluable, especially before I try a particular makeup look on a client.

Another aspect that’s been very important to me is the feedback. My tutor, Yzabella, thoughtfully reviews all my assignments, answers my questions, and, most importantly, critiques my mistakes with explanations on how to improve. This isn’t a school that hands out diplomas just because you've paid for it; instead, they ensure you truly learn the art and enhance your skills. The option for unlimited submissions has been a tremendous gift, and my experience has been nothing but positive. I'm from Italy, i bought the elite Path, finished the master makeup artist program and started the advanced one. I'm now working as a freelance makeup artist doing bridal and others while doing the advanced program.
This Is a solid program for understanding this magnificent job, but not enough of course because the practice makes you a real makeup artist. Practice with different people, ages, skin colour, skin problems ect, is the key. Of course if you are in New York, you would have the possibility to practice on models. As an online program, if you can find models on your own, that is perfect, otherwise I don't think that you can call yourself a makeup artist. I found the master makeup artist program very usefull, interesting and I really really learn so much from It. I'm a Little bit upset for the Advance program, not so many real lessons and exams, and a lot of recordings of live zoom classes (low quality image because they are zoom recordings, some are very interesting but a lot of them are very long not so many new informations, a lot of talking of nothing and a waste of time for me... I'm Sorry, this Is my honest review...very boring..). I don't think that the informations on the advanced one were worth the money I spent. For the master makeup artist program, yes, for sure, worth the Money!! Very satisfied!
