I have been a customer of Caroline Colt / Shootin Shop going on three years & I find them to have awesome customer service. They have firearms that can be hard to find with other dealers, & they offer an extremely reasonable layaway plan. Caroline Colt has shipped my purchases very fast every time whether firearms, ammo, or accessories. They provide tracking numbers so you know where your package is and when it will arrive. Their customer service ranks with the best as they genuinely take pride in assisting you to get what you want, & answer any questions you have in a very timely manner. They've always been polite, and professional, and provided superior communication with me either by phone or email. Caroline Colt in Abilene, TX & KY Gun Company in Bardstown, KY are my two go-to dealers. I only shop where I have solid relationships & trust the people I'm dealing with. Caroline Colt is one of those two businesses. Shout out to Courtney for going above & beyond in providing super customer service.

Bought a gun with impressively grained wooden grips -unique tiger striped - thru Gunbroker. The gun I received was the correct model, but had a plain wooden grip. Nothing unusual about it. No tiger striping in the grain. After several calls and emails, I was able to speak with someone who said it was a stock picture of the model. I asked why this wasn't disclosed and wouldn't make more sense to take a picture of an ordinary example? Then if I got a really special one, I would be really happy rather than disappointed. That this was a poor business model. I was given an apology and an offer to refund. I decided to keep it out of spite, the price. The price was too good even for a plain example, and this way I can complain to you! BAIT AND SWITCH!! BEWARE!!

Caroline Colt Company, did not accept a weapon on a FFL transfer.
When I called them to check on the transfer, they didn’t have time to talk to me. When the company that was transferring the weapon to them for me to pick up called….the answer they gave them was they didn’t know why!! Thus, this rather large company took them off their transfer list for the Abilene area for future transfers. The gun went back to Salt Lake City or is going! I had to cancel that order then reorder the same type weapon and is being sent to a Carolina Colt competitor in the Abilene Area. That’s where I’ll be doing all my business in the future! They need to improve “somewhere”!

Just purchased a REPR at Caroline Colt Company, and the service is excellent! Very personable and friendly people, almost unbeatable prices and a large collection of high quality rifles and handguns for those looking a unique firearm. Would highly recommend anyone to drop by and take a look at their inventory, you may find something you cannot pass up.

I recently purchased a Kimber Micro .380 2 tone from The-Shootin-Shop on Gunbroker. I couldn't have asked for better customer service from your associate Caroline. She like myself believes in customer service as a top priority. She gets A+A+A+A+A+ from me. Here's a picture of the Micro and it's big brother the Ultra Carry ll. This company is very difficult to deal with and ripping off its customers. Please sort by newest reviews and you will see the same issue with many others.

There was an issue with a purchase not shipping fully due to state restrictions, and when the company was politely contacted via email there was no solution available so I requested a return. I was then told that I had 5 days to return the item and there would be a 15% restocking fee, shipping costs both ways (mind you I've already paid shipping cost to me already) and other fees.

I then called the company to inquire if there were any solutions and if not what this additional fee was and what it is for, and I was then told mid sentence that the restocking fee would now be 25% and then rudely hung up on. I then called back still remaining calm and asked what the additional fee was for again and this time was told I was now harassing them and no return will be accepted and hung up on again! I guess this company doesn't understand laws and cant just change terms and hold peoples money at will. That said I'll be sending my return and awaiting for my refund minus 15% and one way shipping costs as shipping to me has already been paid. It sucks to potentially have them hold my money hostage without it becoming a legal matter but buyer beware! I have full email correspondence for anyone interested in verifying my accounts. I've seen their responses to any bad review blaming the customer about harassing or not wanting to pay restocking fees. But I have full email correspondence and I'd much rather lose 15% than give this company my full money! I will update this review after my return to share how the return process went as I don't mind paying their listed restocking fee of 15% but I won't allow terms to be changed after the fact.

Today was the first time I bought a firearm from Carolina Colt, I've previously bought ammo and other miscellaneous items from them. Everytime I've ever gone into the store, I've been met by very respectful and very informational gentlemen. The gun buying process was a breeze, would highly recommend.
