Do not live here. I lived here for two years and regret not ever touring other apartment complexes. They present themselves well, but living here is a nightmare. The biggest issue with living here is that they will try to steal as much money as possible from you. My roommate and I were repeatedly overcharged for utility bills in months that we were not living there and the A/C was off. They would charge us each $50+/month in the summer months when we were not living in Chico and no power was being used in the apartment. They played dumb when I called them about it, but it is clear that they take the bill of the whole complex and divide it among everyone (socialism). My second biggest annoyance living here is the constant inspections. There were about 3 "inspections" a semester, where they would come in to look at the smoke detector or fire alarm or air vents etc. It was clear that this was just to be invasive and spy on their tenants. They could easily combine all of the routine maintenance checks in one inspection but they space them out intentionally. I had friends in other complexes in Chico that said management never came into their apartments, unless maintenance was requested. Living here was also noisy, there was a lot of screaming and fighting from other tenants, but this may just be a Chico thing. A lot of the people that lived here too were not students. They also love to market all of their amenities, but a lot of the time things were broken. I understand things will break and that is unavoidable, but elevators, scanners, hot water, gates etc. all had broken down multiple times throughout my time there and sometimes would take months to be repaired. This is not the Post's fault, but the location of the complex is also problematic. The complex next to the Post is very shady and I was consistently woken up by loud noises coming from there, including one time where people were killing chickens (seriously). On the other side of the Post is Columbus street, which had multiple shootings over the course of my time there.
Finally, the layout of the apartment is poor. If you live in building 1, you will have a decent walk to get to your car in the parking garage on the other side of the complex. This isn't a big deal except for when moving things in and out and you will have to carry heavy boxes a long distance. I am never one to write reviews but my experience here was so negative that I made sure to take the time to tell others about how awful this place is to live in. Do not live here.

I would strongly caution anyone considering moving into this property. My daughter has had an absolutely terrible experience living here. Most recently, her water was broken for days, and she was left without hot water—completely unacceptable in any living situation.

When she reported the issue, the front desk staff, particularly Naomi and Dillion, was dishonest about the steps being taken to resolve it, including lying about who they were using to fix the problem. The level of incompetence and lack of accountability from the management team is appalling. They were dismissive and unwilling to provide any real assistance, leaving her to deal with this serious inconvenience without proper support.

If you're looking for a place with reliable management and basic necessities like running hot water, I would highly recommend looking elsewhere. This property does not care about its residents, and their inaction speaks volumes about their priorities. Avoid Post on Nord at all costs!

this place is terrible. The property manager Ryan Baker accused me of video taping him when I didn’t. He also said since weed isn’t allowed on the premises & I got notice. It’s mainly a student housing and everybody smokes. I understand I broke the rules so my concern isn’t about receiving the notice. My problem is when I brought up the facts people have guns here he said he can’t do anything about it. I made a point that it felt weird that he wasn’t okay with people smoking but do to federal law of being able to bare arms he doesn’t care. Chico is known for having shootings so as the manager I would expect him to care about the safety of his residents. He also claimed if someone texts him that I’ve been smoking (even if I didn’t) I would be fined 600$. This is frustrating to me because someone can falsely accuse me of that. Ryan also accused me of video recording and after stating and trying to prove to him I didn’t he still went over federal law about me recording him. Overall post on Nord isn’t a good complex. My friends and I have had many complications with management to the point where my friend parents had to yell at them for their mistreatment. I wouldn’t recommend post on Nord.

This place is wonderful but tye way they handle people In the leading department is question able now I don't know who showing them but in my world once you sign a lease and been told your approved and I even checked 2 days prior to coming in and everything was confirmed. We showed up with 2 1/2 worth of rent and told we didn't have apartment. Now we are staying at a motel looking for a house and preying that we don't have to get onto the. Moving money..I was told I was approved I sighed my lease and they didn't honor the system..

In response of the returning comment ( post owner )

So the way in see it yous say you tried to call me the only time I missed a call from you guys it was the head leasing lady and we were able to get ahold of each right after and she discussed the different parts of our lease and discussed when I came in on Thursday to pay I would get my keys. Also when I called on Tuesday to confirm we had the whole 2 bedroom no room mates and at 1700 it was confirmed and we had discussed having a twin bed removed from one of the room she said she would talk to the team about it. Now what I think you guys failed to communicate with each other and I feel like I have tried to let you guys fix this but with no result it has left me without a home in a motel not knowing what to do and contributing to the already big homeless problem our town has.. I feel like in actually reality you guys had properly communicated even on even Tuesday this could have been avoided. Because of at the communicating we have done since theneads me to believe if you had actually tried to communicate with me we would have. the way this has been handled is ugly and the only one it has affected was us and I'm going to be exploring my options and my renters right at this point. Because I was given every greenight telling me I had a home and then once in the office maybe not what they expected as a student was then told to me I didn't and was very cold loud about it.

The kind and professional staff allowed my son to let us stay with him. My partner in life and I were evacuated from the Thompson fire, and we did not want to go to an unknown facility. I want to express my appreciation and say thank you. I am Truly grateful ?.

My husband & I (John & Valorie Fitch, recent evacuees from the Thompson Fire on 7/02/24) were most graciously allowed by The Post to stay with son, Scott, who resides here. We can not express our most sincere appreciation to The Post adamantly enough for allowing our temporary stay. We've been impressed with this facility, specifically, the empathy & friendliness of the staff, how smoothly this facility seems to run, & with the apartment layout. Many thanks, we really like this place!

I started living here since August of 2023 and so far I like the place a lot. You get to meet new people.there a free workout area and a place to get some coffee. I’ve use the pool a. Few times when it was hot and it was nice. Wish they had a hot tub tho. I live with roommates and they are pretty fun to hangout with. The only think that I would say can be a process is getting mail. I have bought items but they were either lost or sent to the wrong area it become annoying sometimes but other then that I give this place an 8/10.

Do not recommend at all . First my car got broken into inside the parking structure and for some reason there is no cameras at all . And told them about it and said nothing was able to be done but which was inside the property. And they are not understanding for your personal concerns they only wanna as much profit they can off of you . When I signed the lease they had given me a number now months later rent goes up for no reason. The utter disregard for residents' safety is evident in the recent car break-in I experienced at this apartment. The absence of adequate security measures is not just a flaw but a serious concern. Beyond the financial setback of the theft, the emotional toll due to the compromised sense of safety is substantial. It's disheartening to feel neglected by a management that should prioritize the well-being and security of its residents. This experience has been far from satisfactory, and I cannot recommend this place to others.
